Line Array Towers Finished!

About a month ago I inquired to this forum about a line array kit. I was kindly pointed to Zalytron, which had
a reasonably priced line array kit. It consists of 12-6.5 mid/bass Axom drivers and four 1" Axom tweeters
per channel.
I finally got them into my listening room yesterday. It took me about 15 days to build the cabinets. I was not
prepared for what I ended up with. Blown away is an under statement. I build a fair number of speakers that usually
get an encouraging nod or smile from my wife. Even she was completely blown away by these. I think they are one
of the smoothest speakers I have listened to. They produce sound in an effortless manner even at elevated volume
levels! They are the best imaging speakers I have heard. As far as impact goes, they make the X-1 Wilson Grand
Slams run for cover. The vocals are to die for. Bass is tight and very fast. The high-end is very smooth as well.
I will probably never go back to a non-line array speaker again for my personal system. They are awesome!
I have a center speaker on top of a big screen and the imaging/blending with conventional towers was good but not
seamless. (Speaker height accross the front was not the same) Now the height of the center speaker doesn't seem
to matter. The image for home theater is seamless. The HT sound stage is just awesome!
Associated equipment:
Resolution CD50 player,
Older Carver preamp/proccessor
Parasound HCA-3500 for the mains
Parasound HCA-2003 for the center/rears
One Isobaric sub with dual eclipse 12" drivers/KG-5150
One Isobaric Sub with dual Dayton 15" drivers/KG-5150
If your looking for an excellent kit with fantastic sound this is it. During its construction I had excellent email
support from Zalytron and Orca Design.
Email me if you'd like to see what they look like as I won't be posting on my website for a bit.
