Hiquphon was founded in 1983 in order to develop the ultimate dome tweeter targeted at the HighEnd domestic hi-fi market.
Since the company was founded, the Hiquphon dome tweeter has undergone constant improvement. The continuous refining of the basic design has the sole purpose of achieving maximum listening pleasure. Modifications are only accepted, when they contribute to the musical quality.
These efforts have resulted in two basic models - D2094-8708-xx (heavily coated, and extremely broad-banded) and D2094-9008-xx (lightly coated, and high sensitivity).
Both models are the multiple-coated, asymmetrically damped, hermetically sealed 3/4" soft dome type, and both contain a multiple-damped multiple-chamber system essentially similar to transmission line systems. Both have exceptionally fine frequency and phase response.
